I'm fascinated by how flavours are created particularly in whisk(e)y.

After having had zero interest in alcoholic drinks for all of my life, I tasted some hot Powers, Jameson and Midleton Very Rare when I lived in Ireland in 2008-2009, and quite liked it.

Later I was invited to a whisky tasting with a Swedish whisky club, started digging more into the world of whisk(e)y and became fascinated by all the different flavours and characters, how they are created, and I wanted to learn more.

Since then I've been exploring the world of whiskey (ok, let's make a decision how to spell it!), and I run a simple blog where I share my tasting experiences and some thoughts about whiskey - mostly Irish since I live in Ireland and very much enjoy the typical flavour profile of Irish whiskey.

I don't typically write about whiskeys that were given to me for free - I'm not so much of a prominent writer or whiskey profile that companies give me whiskey to review (although it has happened). But I'd love to get my foot into the whiskey industry in other ways.

If you're a whiskey brand and interested in someone who is passionate about whiskey, willing to learn the ins and outs of your product and is competent in three languages, I'm open to freelance work for whiskey brands - including but not limited to:

  • working for your brand at events
  • design work
  • website work
  • other roles that can be done mostly remotely (or, get in touch for a discussion)
